Disclaimers
Last updated: August 2026
This page is the single authoritative home for NursingCEA’s notices. The short “see disclaimer” popovers throughout the site summarize these same points and link back here. Nothing on NursingCEA is medical advice, and nothing here grants any credential — please read the sections that apply to how you’re using the site.
“NursingCEA” is a brand name, not a description of what we offer. The site is a free practice-and-study resource only. We are not a continuing-education provider, we grant no CE credit, contact hours, certificates, or professional certification, and we are not accredited by any board or credentialing body — as the “Not CE credit / not accredited” section below spells out.
Medical accuracy — not medical advice
All questions, rationales, study guides, calculators, and tools on this site are for practice and study only. They are not medical advice, clinical guidance, or a substitute for clinical judgment, your facility’s policies, or current provider orders. Reference ranges, drug information, and clinical guidelines vary by source and change over time — always verify against current, authoritative clinical references, and verify every calculation before administering any medication or acting on any result. Never make a patient-care decision based on content from this site.
Not CE credit / not accredited
NursingCEA is not a continuing-education provider. We do not grant continuing-education (CE) credit, contact hours, certificates, or professional certification for any quiz, practice exam, study guide, or tutor answer on this site. We are not accredited by any board, agency, or credentialing body, we issue no certificates, and we do not place anyone on any state Nurse Aide Registry or other registry. Nothing on this site satisfies any state Board of Nursing’s, employer’s, or credentialing body’s licensure, certification, or renewal requirements.
Any licensing, certification, or continuing-education information we publish is general, third-party informational content only — for current requirements, always confirm directly with your state Board of Nursing or the relevant credentialing body.
No exam-pass or score-improvement guarantee
We do not guarantee that using NursingCEA will cause you to pass the NCLEX, any certification or licensure exam, any course, or any assessment, or that it will raise any score. Practice and study are not a guarantee of any result, and individual results vary. Any score or percentage we show you is a study aid to gauge your practice performance — it is not a prediction of your real exam result. Your outcome depends on many factors outside our control — your own preparation, the exam’s content and scoring, and the policies of the testing and credentialing bodies. Any statistics, examples, or testimonials we share are illustrative and not typical — they are not a promise or prediction of your results.
Errors & omissions — accuracy limitations
We work hard to make our content accurate and to cite reliable sources, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Clinical guidelines, drug information, reference ranges, exam blueprints, and licensing requirements change over time. We make no warranty that any content is complete, current, or error-free, and we are not liable for reliance on it — always verify against current, authoritative sources.
No professional relationship
Using NursingCEA does not create any professional, provider-patient, instructor-student, or advisory relationship between you and NursingCEA. The Service is a self-directed study aid — it does not supervise, evaluate, or credential you, and it is not a substitute for a nursing program, an instructor, or a licensed professional.
Trademarks & non-affiliation
All third-party names and marks below are used nominatively — only to describe the real exams and roles our original practice material helps you prepare for. NursingCEA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or certified through any of them, and none of them endorse this site.
- NCLEX® / NCLEX-RN® / NCLEX-PN® are registered trademarks of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN). NursingCEA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSBN or any state Board of Nursing.
- NNAAP® (National Nurse Aide Assessment Program) is a program of Credentia; the CNA competency exam is administered by Credentia, Prometric, or another state-approved vendor. NursingCEA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
- CPCT/A® and CPT credentials, and the NHA (National Healthcareer Association) name, are marks of the National Healthcareer Association; other phlebotomy credentials are offered by bodies such as ASCP and AMT. NursingCEA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
AI-generated content (the tutor)
Our optional “Ask the tutor” feature generates explanations using a third-party AI model provider (OpenRouter, running a DeepSeek model). These answers are produced by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. They are not authoritative, are not medical advice, and are not a substitute for your instructor, your nursing program, your course materials, or your own clinical judgment — always verify anything important before relying on it. The tutor is rate-limited to control cost and abuse.
When you use the tutor, we send the model only your typed question plus the practice-question content already on your screen (the question stem, answer choices, correct answer, rationale, and cited source). We do not send your name, email, account credentials, or any session token to the AI provider. Those providers run under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control, and they may log or retain what is sent to them on their own systems — so never enter personal, patient, confidential, or protected health information into the tutor.
Original practice questions
Every practice question on this site — across every field we cover (NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN, CNA/nurse-aide, Patient Care Technician, and Phlebotomy) — is original, written by our team for practice and study. Nothing is copied or paraphrased from UWorld, Kaplan, ATI, NCSBN, Credentia, the NHA, or any other commercial or official question bank, and none of our items are real exam questions. Each question includes a rationale and cites a nursing textbook or clinical guideline. See how we write our questions.
Third-party services
NursingCEA runs on a small set of service providers. We share data with them only as needed to operate the site, and we do not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Cloudflare — hosting, database (D1), caching (KV), file storage (R2, for optional profile avatars), and email routing.
- Resend — sending transactional and opt-in email (your sign-in link/code and any practice reminders), each with an unsubscribe link.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — privacy-friendly spam/bot protection on our forms.
- OpenRouter — routing our optional AI tutor requests to a third-party language model (see AI-generated content above).
We do not control these providers and are not responsible for their acts or omissions. Your data is handled by each provider under its own terms and privacy policy; our use of them is described in our Privacy Policy.
External links
The Service may link to third-party websites and resources — for example, state Boards of Nursing, credentialing bodies, or reference sources. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of any external site, and following a link is at your own risk. Verify licensing and certification facts directly with the official source.
Accessibility
We want NursingCEA to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, and we aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and some parts of the site may not yet fully conform. If you have trouble using any part of the Service, or need information or a feature in a different format, please tell us through our contact page and we will work to help.
Assumption of risk
You use NursingCEA voluntarily and at your own risk. You are solely responsible for how you use the Service and for any decisions you make. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NursingCEA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its content. These disclaimers are part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service (including the warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability).
