Privacy Policy

This policy explains what NursingCEA collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the Service needs and we don’t sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Email address — when you enter it to get your results, sign in, or create a free account.
• Name, state, and nursing role — when you provide them (e.g. at the end of a practice test or in your profile). Your state helps us show your state’s licensing information with your results and measure demand by state.
• Practice activity — the quizzes you take and answers you submit, so we can show your score, weak areas, and progress.
• Usage data — standard analytics (pages viewed, general location, device/browser) to understand and improve the Service.

How we use it

To operate the Service (grade practice tests, save scores, run your dashboard), to send you the sign-in link/code and — if you opt in — occasional practice reminders, to understand aggregate demand and improve the content, and to keep the Service secure.

Cookies

We use a first-party session cookieto keep you signed in, and analytics cookies to measure usage. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time (doing so signs you out).

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that run the Service, and only as needed to operate it:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, and email routing.
• Resend — sending transactional email (your sign-in link/code and any reminders you opt into).
• Google Analytics — aggregate usage measurement.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for third-party advertising.

Data retention

We keep your account and practice history while your account is active so your progress persists. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any reminder email using the link in it.
• Access or delete your data — email us and we’ll help.
• Practice without an account — most of the Service works logged out.

Children

NursingCEA is intended for nursing students and nurses and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, hashed session tokens). No method is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
