Leadership & Management practice questions

Free leadership and management of care practice questions — delegation, prioritization, and assignment scenarios with rationales that explain the reasoning framework, not just the answer.

Study mode shows the rationale after every question. Timed mode scores you at the end. Both are free — no account needed to start.

What this topic covers

Leadership questions — the NCLEX calls this territory management of care — test judgment more than knowledge: who do you see first, what can you delegate, and which task belongs to which team member. Our questions emphasize the three scenarios this topic keeps returning to: prioritization (choosing the patient or action that comes first), delegation to LPNs/LVNs and assistive personnel within their scope of practice, and making safe assignments across a team.

The set also covers conflict resolution, incident reporting, informed consent, and the legal and ethical situations charge nurses face. Because these questions hinge on frameworks — ABCs, acute versus chronic, stable versus unstable, the five rights of delegation — every rationale names the framework it applied and shows how it sorts the options, so the reasoning transfers to the next scenario instead of staying stuck to one question.
