How to register for the NCLEX in Arkansas
- 1. Apply for licensure by examination with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and meet its eligibility requirements.
- 2. Register for the NCLEX with Pearson VUE and pay the exam fee.
- 3. Once the board finds you eligible, you receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) and schedule at a Pearson VUE test center.

- The Arkansas State Board of Nursing requires, each two-year renewal, one of: 15 contact hours of appropriately approved practice-focused continuing education, a current nationally recognized nursing certification or recertification, or a completed college nursing course (one credit hour, grade C or better).
The 15 contact hours are only one of three accepted ways to meet the requirement, and the option applies to LPN, RN, and advanced-practice licensees alike.
