How to register for the NCLEX in Wisconsin

Yes. Wisconsin was one of the four original NLC states in 2000 and moved to the enhanced NLC on January 19, 2018. Nurses whose primary residence is Wisconsin can qualify for a multistate license.

Register for the NCLEX with NCSBN through Pearson VUE and pay the exam fee, then apply for licensure through the Wisconsin DSPS Board of Nursing. Once your eligibility is confirmed you receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) and can schedule your NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN at a Pearson VUE test center.
Use the DSPS License Verification service at licenseverification.wi.gov. You can search by name or credential number; DSPS also participates in the national Nursys database for nurse license verification.
